Connected/Alone
Connected/Alone is a photo project documenting fungal biodiversity and exploring the dichotomy between the artist and the subjects of this project, as he seeks to be alone to photograph something seemingly infinitely connected.
The first year of this project (June 2022 to June 2023), the artist limited himself to shoot solely black and white film along the Cascade Falls trail of Patapsco Valley State Park (Avalon area) in Maryland.
The artist intended to shoot the following year in color, but due to unforeseen delays in Cinestill's 400D 4x5 film production, the project was temporarily placed hold. However, the project is once again underway and is expected to resume from June 2024 through June 2025.
